We are now on LinkedIn
This year, Aging Life Care Association™ New England Chapter Committee has undertaken the project of initiating our own LinkedIn site. This is the first site of its type in the Association. Once again, we are pioneers! The site is now up and running as of March 31st, 2013. Per National’s requirements, our site will be a subgroup under National’s site, and we will operate with the same policies and guidelines as National.
We welcome article and blog submissions from Aging Life Care Association™ New England Chapter Committee members to our site. Any submissions posted there will be reviewed daily by a member of the joint Technology and PR committees for appropriate content and professionalism. All submissions should generally address issues pertinent to our profession such as health care, elder care, Alzheimer’s, guardianship, etc. These submissions should not reference or market a specific company or individual practice. Again, per our guidelines, any content deemed inappropriate will be removed from the site.
If you are already a member of LinkedIn you can join the Aging Life Care Association™ New England Chapter Committee group by following these steps:
- Open your LinkedIn profile page.
- Go to the upper right hand corner where you will see a “People” tab.
- Click on that tab and it will drop down to offer other options.
- Click on the “Groups” tab.
- Type in ALCA – New England Chapter Committee” in the search bar.
You will get a message that your application is pending and it will be confirmed once the administrator accepts the application.
For those members that have not set up a profile with LinkedIn, we have worked with our webmaster to secure a special rate of $50 for any Aging Life Care Association™ New England Chapter Committee member/affiliate who wishes to have a LinkedIn site created with their initial profile. He will work with you to set up your profile and get you started with this increasingly popular professional medium.
Please contact any member of the committee: Mary Anne Wonn, Patrick Devine, Bob O’Toole or Marie LeBlanc, with any questions you may have. We look forward to building this valuable education and outreach tool for the benefit of the Aging Life Care Association™ New England Chapter Committee members and our clients.
