How to become a Member of GCM New England

Join and reap the benefits of being a NE chapter Geriatric Care Manager.

GCM New England is the regional New England area chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) association. We are one of seven regional chapters that cover the entire country.

To join us at GCM New England, you must first become a member of NAPGCM, the national association, then you can further choose to join our NE chapter. The registration for both organizations must be completed at the National GCM website, and you can do both simultaneously. The National Association website is located at caremanager.org , and more specifically the registration area of their website is located at caremanager.org/registernewmembers.cfm

The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) defines and promotes the highest standards for private practice. Membership is open to qualified individuals either with a degree in a field in human services (social work, psychology, nursing, gerontology) or an equivalent background, who are also experienced in the delivery of services to the elderly and their families. Members of GCMNE (New England) must meet or exceed the standards of NAPGCM.

We welcome you to attend any of our upcoming GCMNE chapter meetings as a guest anytime you'd like. Our chapter usually meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month except July and August and the meeting times vary between morning and evening to try and accommodate most people.

Generally we will meet at an assisted living or long term care facility in the Eastern Massachusetts area. Our meetings usually begin with a tour of the hosting facility and a meal provided by them, followed by either our regular business meeting, or a guest speaker on a topic of professional interest to our membership.

To inquire about joining us to attend a New England Chapter GCM meeting, please contact our Membership Chairperson at feedback@gcmnewengland.org. If you would like to learn about the National membership criteria (NAPGCM)and/or download an application please click here.
